Rara National Park

Rara National Park is a protected area of Nepal and was established in 1976 CA. This national park covering an area of 106 sq km in the Mugu 90% and Jumla 10% districts, it is the country's smallest national park. Its main feature is Rara Lake at an altitude 1500-5000m Approx

How to go to Rara National Park?

You can go by Local bus from Gongabu Buspark Kathmandu-Surket-Kalikot-Nagma-Talcha or Gamgadi is the route of Rara lake. The bus travels along the famous Karnali highway. You can also take a comfortable jeep trip to Gamgadhi. If you want to go an adventurous way, such as riding a bicycle and enjoying a motorbike, you should consult with experienced people or agencies.

• Nepalgunj to Talcha is the most popular domestic flight to go to Rara Lake. It covers a 165 km distance with a duration of 40 minutes.
• Surkhet to Rara. It covers 116 km distance with a duration of 38 minutes
• Charter helicopter. Travel agency and related company manage helicopter as well.

There is a beautiful hotel and lodge nearby Rara lake. you can stay overnight and visit the view top by walking or by horse riding.
